From the outer reaches of the San Francisco nebula comes the strange and wonderful music of Lumerians. Male and female vocals glide over Clinic-like tunes. Put on your foil hats and take a listen. I'm definitely in.

The Monkees (go figure) recorded a great little psychedelic tune by the excellent songwriting duo of Goffin/King... That song is "Porpoise Song" and you know it's a great tune when both The Monkees and And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead both do justice to it... ...and here's LA popsters supreme, The Wondermints. I think this might be the first time in MOG history that Monkees, Porpoises, Lollipops and Wondermints were used in a single post. I'm so proud.
i've never heard of the wondermints you learn something every day!

Guadalcanal Diary wrote the perfect song for this day...

Eels, whom you have on your Artists to know list, also have a perfect song for this day, at least the first part of the day.
