I was checking out Murs' new album and came across this gem. There are pieces of this song that sound distinctly Kanye (the sped up Soul samples), but otherwise the song takes on an identity of its own. My points of interest, in order of interest: 1. The drums. I love when producers use random ambient drum noises, pegged to a swung 16th, to accentuate the flow of the other elements. Another group that does this quite a bit is the Blue Scholars.
