The Rolling Stones have left EMI for a deal with the Universal Music Group, the same label behind their most recent release -- the soundtrack to the Martin Scorsese documentary Shine a Light. While EMI struggles to get into a groove under the new control of private equity firm Terra Firma, it seems the Stones were happy with the way UMG handed the soundtrack's release. That climatic scene in 'Bottle Rocket'...when Dignan is making his ill fated getaway. The Stones '2000 Man' comes blaring at ya,...and it is just perfect. This was THE scene that made me a Wes Anderson fan.
go see shine a light perhaps you're apprehensive because you think their days are done and it might be boring.
