Nine Inch Nails

If you've not gone and gotten this album yet, it's a must. I've listened to all the tracks a bunch of times now, and as short as the album is it's well worth it (especially considering it's FREE for download on NIN's site) http://www.nin.com/ I'm going to see them in August (woot!) so obviously I'm a fan - but I know I'm not the only one. Nice shiny title for a review don’t you think? The new NIN album is called ‘The Slip’ and all. Thought I’d use it before someone else does. Much has been made of Nine Inch Nails' new album being given away for free. And I do applaud Mr. Reznor for continuing down the digital road he's on....however... The Slip just isn't very good. It sounds as though he had a bunch of B-Sides laying around and put them together. There's no inventiveness in the sounds. It all sounds like well-recorded demos. I plan to review this album in detail soon, but for now I just have to say that Trent Reznor's level of productivity over the past few years and ability to stay relevant and innovative over a long career is impressive to say the least...
