With all the Nas drama in our rear view mirror, The Rap Up decided to take a look at other memorable albums to have their original title changed. The N-Word has a long history of being rejected, which makes me wonder how Ol' Dirty Bastard convinced Warner Music Group to release his album titled "Nigga Please", in 1999.

Anywho, here are 5 of the changed titles, you can view the others by clicking HERE
1. Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill
>>Original Title: Don’t Be A Faggot (1986)
Adam Horovitz has since apologized for the working title of their landmark album " Licensed To Ill. Kinda makes you wonder how their popularity could have been affected if it were actually released that way.
2. Da Lench Mob - Guerrillas In The Mist
>>Original Title: Pin The Tail on The Honky (1992)
Remember Ice Cube's side group Da Lench Mob? (he still operates Lench Mob Records to this day) This album was released under the turbulent times of racial tension and police brutality in the early 90s of L.A.
3. Gravediggaz - 6 Feet Deep (1994)
>>Original Title: Niggamortis
This title would have been perfect, considering the Gravediggaz did "horrorcore", a short lived sub-genre of rap music. I was never personally a fan
4. Coolio - It Takes A Thief (1994)
>>Original Title: The Last Original Nigga
I took a trip to Wikipedia and saw some of the song titles on this album, hilarious. "Mama I'm in Love Wit a Gangsta", "Hand on My Nutsac", "Can-O-Corn" and last but not least.... "Ugly Bitches".
5. Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill (1991)
>>Original Title: America’s Most Blunted
"America's Most Blunted" was such a good name, it was eventually used..... by someone else who weren't afraid of their record label. (MF Doom and Madlib)
