MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Olympic fever might be over until 2010's Vancouver games, but that doesn't mean America has stopped going for the gold. Adding another first place finish for the US is Hot Lixx Hulahan, who was crowned air guitar world champion last week in Oulu, Finland. Hulahan, aka San Francisco native Craig Billmeier squashed the dreams of John Sniffler of the Netherlands and Johnny Utah of Canada, who placed second and third respectively. Two-time defending World Champion Ochi (Dainoji) Yosuke of Japan, thought to be major threat initially, fell short placing sixth behind a tie for forth place between Japan's Ichikawa the Rock and France's Master Peace.

Hulahan beat out 24 competitors at the 2008 Cuervo Black US Air Guitar championships earlier this month for the chance to represent the US in Finland.

"I wanted to do good, to do everyone proud, to at least look decent on YouTube," Hulahan said of his winning performance. Watch out Michael Phelps. You're not the only one being considered for cereal boxes.

Below is Hot Lixx Hulahan's near perfect YouTube performance at the competition.
